A tidy performance in Match 2 of the series enabled the team to notch up a useful 171pts for 3rd and now stand 7th after 2 rounds. The standard was marginally up on round one but the core of the team still scored significantly - a handy debut from Emily Harriman was augmented by wins from Sasha Gordon(BSLJ 5.17),Lana Whatley(BS100H 17.7),Camilla 'Yet more records' Thrush, ably backed by Amy Dodd and the customary treble from Dominique Blaize(HJ/LJ/100H) in the senior events.

The thin scoring turnout managed a slightly less than impressive 46 points, but purpose was served with several BAL performers honing their preparation for Derby.Youngsters Luke Wheeler & Matthew Field shone;Billy Blake,Jonathan Smallbones & Ben Nethercott showed promise and one or two veterans warmed up for the Surrey Champs on May 29. Scores:Redhill 140,Holland 128,T.Wells 122,K&P 46 and K&P lie 15th of 16 in the table.

Pride of place again to Sasha Gordon's Girls with a nigh-on perfect score of 59/60 points.Another DT W35 record for Camilla,a useful pb 400 from Rachel Burbridge(63.9) and a promising first appearance from sprinter Emily Harriman highlighted the female proceedings. On the mens side,we were indebted to 2nd claimer,Steve Cotton, for a large batch of points and we sort-of-limped into 3rd place and could do better. Two fine days produced many fine performances from K&P athletes;there were a host of pbs and five club records, all of no mean standard.Camilla Thrush(32.53DT 3rd),Sarah Harris(40.71 300) & Dominique Blaize(6.01 LJ) all improved their own marks with Matthew Field taking his 100H time down to 14.51,only to lose his U15 record to a rampant Stuart Price(11.67 80H).Significant advancement, too, from elder brother,Craig, whose 51.73/1.57.07 bronze double highlights the influence of coach Wayne Martin.

A very close match resulted in K&P being shunted into 3rd of the 4 teams, partly because of the ludicrous points for officials rule but also because of late no-shows in the Boys U17 group. Nonetheless,Anna Field(in only her 2nd year as TM) and Fiona Whatley(debuting) can be well-pleased.
