In favourable if malodorous conditions, many of the 11 K&P members in action posted season's bests,as if to celebrate Meet Organiser Maurice Joyce's 60th birthday;Camilla Thrush again excelled with an Open Womens Club Hammer record(her own anyway) of 34m.93,also a Club Vets mark, too along with her 24m.69 Javelin.Elsewhere Chuck Isetts & Mike May appreciated the rare helpful, though legal, wind over both 100/200 & Roger Bayliss,in picking up a silver medal over 400,managed to erase a painful midweek 'defeat' !!

Just keeping the ball rolling - The 2 Rosenheim teams defied the rain at Walton~~ see separate report-- In Milan,Dominique Blaize won the European Schools U18 LJ with 5.91 and then ran a 200 leg in the medley relay -- but not good news for the BAL team for Derby as Gareth Cook has joined Kyle Stevens with a broken bone -- Happier news, though,as Maurice Joyce celebrates his 60th birthday on Saturday by directing the Surrey Vets Champs at Kingsmeadow. More later!
