Pride of place again to Sasha Gordon's Girls with a nigh-on perfect score of 59/60 points.Another DT W35 record for Camilla,a useful pb 400 from Rachel Burbridge(63.9) and a promising first appearance from sprinter Emily Harriman highlighted the female proceedings. On the mens side,we were indebted to 2nd claimer,Steve Cotton, for a large batch of points and we sort-of-limped into 3rd place and could do better. A very close match resulted in K&P being shunted into 3rd of the 4 teams, partly because of the ludicrous points for officials rule but also because of late no-shows in the Boys U17 group. Nonetheless,Anna Field(in only her 2nd year as TM) and Fiona Whatley(debuting) can be well-pleased.

Back to back fixtures at Norwich tested the resolve of the Seniors but they were well up to it and we finished a slightly surprising but rewarding 4th of the 8 teams - one place better than our opening BAL match in our first season in 2003. With 3 'heavies' unavailable, more onus was on Messrs Owen,Cook & Roberts but with excellent assistance from new javelin signing,Nick Surtees,we scored pretty well again.

Maurice Joyce's SML team was a little threadbare but there were some useful marks. Under 17 Luke Wheeler opened his season well with a 11.8/24.4 double B win;Mike Maranzano proved he is over the injury which knocked him out for most of last season by winning over 3kSteeple(10.01.4) whlist our young javelin pairing(120 years plus) showed little respect for their fellow competitors.
