Kingston Athletics Club & Polytechnic Harriers (KACPH "The Club") is based at Kingsmeadow Fitness & Athletics Centre, which has a stadium and athletics track and where we train and compete. The address is:
Kingsmeadow., Kingston Road., Norbiton. Kingston upon Thames., KT1 3PB.
The Centre is served by the 131 and K5 buses with Norbiton Railway Station a short walk away.
The Centre is owned by RBK and managed by "Places for People", which offers its own membership for use of their gym; sauna and a number of fitness courses. For details see:
The track is available for public use every day of the week at times specified by the management, and by Club Members on their designated training sessions. Both the public and Club Members are advised that the appropriate admission fee for use of the facilities should be paid at reception each time.
During the summer Track & Field season which starts in March/April, there will be days when the whole Arena is booked for a competition or championship, and those wishing to train should make themselves aware by asking at Reception.
This takes place on Sunday mornings from 10.00am; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5.00pm until 9.00am and some Saturdays by arrangement.
The Club Coaching Co-ordinator and Club Coaches are usually in attendance at the Stadium at the above training times and Club Officials will also be available on training nights.
Please see the Club Officers and General Contacts sections off the Main Menu on this page for more details.
It is necessary to clarify that Membership of KACPH is quite separate from the Kestrel Club, which is a novice training group organised and owned by Momentum Sports, although we are closely associated partners, and many Kestrels become KACPH Members when ready to compete in the Junior Leagues.
For parents of Juniors who wish to join the Kestrels are asked to follow this link, where they will find an email section for enquiries:
The Club is fully affiliated to all governing bodies (UKAthletics and England Athletics) and thus enjoys the benefits available. This includes Public Liability Insurance. The Club also also has its own Public Liability and Group Personal Accident Cover.
All competing athletes over the age of 11 years are now required to be Registered with EA and failure to do so will result in disqualification from certain competitions.
Annual Subscriptions, Membership and the Database
Subscriptions and EA Registration for Membership of KACPH is completely separate from Kingsmeadow Fitness & Athletics Centre and offers it's own separate gym for elite athletes requiring specialist olympic weights training.
It is only through the Club that Members are provided with access to League, County, National and International competition in Track & Field athletics for all ages under UKA/EA rules, together with its affiliated partner, the Weir Archer Academy (WAA): http://www.weir-archer-academy.com/
The Club has moved its Club Membership to an online Database system under JCT Sports Solutions, which provides all Members with an easily accessible way of updating their information; making payments online and to receive online notices and bulletins from the Club.
This move from the traditional paper system has significantly reduced the workload on Club Volunteers; is helping to keep costs low and provides Club Officers with access to information they need to run the Club.
Subscriptions and EA registration are due from the 1st January annually. Details on how to go online and Renew KACPH Membership can be found on the Main Menu.
In accordance with UKA Rules, Members are reminded that an athlete's resignation from the Club cannot be accepted until their subscription for the current year is paid in full. Arrears of Subscription will render competing Members liable to non-selection for the Club.
An updated New Members Section on our website is currently being developed for the general public who will be encouraged to join and pay for Club Membership altogether online.
In the interim, those wishing to join KACPH are respectfully asked to contact Club Membership Secretary, Gillian Libretto, who will give you the latest details on how to join:
The Club vest is coloured half blue, half black with a separating white diagonal stripe. Members are reminded that they must purchase a club vest when they join and the vest must always be worn when representing the Club. They are available from Gillian Libretto (07730 955701)) - at £18 each.
The Club Track & Field Championships for Junior Boy and Girl age groups will be based on the end of season Club Ranking Lists. Marks must be achieved by Junior Members whilst representing the Club in Club Team matches. Gold, silver & bronze medals will be awarded in the U13; U15 and u17 groups. Medals will also be awarded to the first three in all Cross-Country Club Championships - see Fixtures/Results section for dates.
These are held on the second Monday of each month and Club Officials meet in the Stadium to oversee Club business.
Details about New Club Members are presented to Committee for approval so that Welcome Letters, vests/crop-tops and details about the Club Database are sanctioned to be sent out.
The Club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in late February.
