Back to back fixtures at Norwich tested the resolve of the Seniors but they were well up to it and we finished a slightly surprising but rewarding 4th of the 8 teams - one place better than our opening BAL match in our first season in 2003. With 3 'heavies' unavailable, more onus was on Messrs Owen,Cook & Roberts but with excellent assistance from new javelin signing,Nick Surtees,we scored pretty well again.

In the jumps,James Heptonstall took 3rd/4th for excellent points and Humphrey Waddington also excelled with advanced scores at TJ and 400H. On the track,we were much better in places though down unexpectedly in others. Both Jamie McCullagh & Craig Price ran mature races to pick 2nds over 800,the latter breaking 2 mins(just) for the first time. Mike Maranzano(4th) and Andy Arbour(pb) were exemplary over 3kSteeple,Victor Nwagbara & Emmanuel Olukoya performed well in the face of exams pressure and Mark Roberts was again competitive over 110H.
