Dear all,
I am sending this invitation out to all committee members and relevant coaches.
For some time now, K&P has been working closely with St Mary Twickenham AC, Stragglers and Ranelagh H as a network of clubs supported by funds supplied by England Athletics. Our remit is to share our resources and best practices to make each club better. It is not a merger of clubs.
Later this month we will be having our official launch of the Network. It is primarily an opportunity for club members from each organisation to find out what it is all about and, with luck, a chance to meet some guest international athletes. We are holding this on a Thursday evening so that members of the club can use St Mary’s as an alternative training venue for the night and pop into the cafe for tea and biccies afterwards. Those of a distance-running persuasion can use the opportunity to have a session with Steff Twell’s coach, Mike Woods, as long as you register your interest in advance.
Unfortunately the evening clashes with the Club’s Annual Club Champs Awards at Kingsmeadow.
I shall be trying to cover both events that evening but I would expect the younger athletes to be down at our track that night. However, I’m hoping that K&P will have at least half a dozen representatives at St Mary’s to show our enthusiasm for the network initiative. Please try to be one of the few. Advert with full details shown above.
Ta
Pat
