WOMEN - Going into the final match,Sasha Gordon's team held a slight lead in the Table, despite a large hiccough at the earlier Twickenham fixture, and they duly saw off the opposition to ensure the Silvo will be necessary again until next summer.
Lana Whatley was rewarded for a consistent season, prior to her departure to the Antipodes for a couple of years to complete a Masters Degree, with a PB over 400 Hurdles(66.9)as well as taking the 400 flat(62.6);she was also part of the winning 4 x 200 squad;TM Sasha led by example in winning the Javelin, and Clare Nelson,Liz Richardson,Izzy Hatton,Nicky Atkins & Claire McLeish completed the scoring team.

Men - Humphrey's persuasion and enthusiasm produced the strongest Men's Rosenheim team in a long while and they duly walloped the other clubs. This was the 14th consecutive Regular Season match win since H. took over and the only blemish was missing a complete whitewash of the 60 points maximum - by a half point. Still, retains the adrenalin until 2012,dont it! Now for the Final on August 10th,Kingsmeadow's turn again,by rotation with Tooting.

Race of the Evening
The most intriguing, and perhaps most enjoyable, race was the YA Invitation 800 where a half dozen of K&P's faster boys and girls did battle. Four were within a stride or two of their PBs,five finished within a couple of seconds of each other and two - U15 Nick Hart 2.22.7 and U13 Harry Reynolds 2.24.1 - annihilated their best marks. U15 Neil Wellard(2.21.9) just got home from U15 Elle Butcher(2.22.5),Hart,Reynolds,U15 Nadia Allan(2.24.6) and 11 year old Leila Allan running a lonely furrow but still consistently around her 2.48 pb in her first 4/5 races at the distance in her first serious season. An invigorating race to watch!
