WINTER CLUB FIXTURES ON SITE - see Fixtures off Main Menu
3rd - Ashford - Victor Nwagbara ran 22.51(3rd) over 200 at the Julie Rose Games.
3rd/4th - parkruns - In Bushy,Phil Bearman Snr took 23rd(18.13) with Avelline Deighton 433rd in 25.39,with PB Jnr taking premier slot in Sundays Junior race(6.39),ahead of Lauren Hilton(11.03). In Richmond,Fiona Whatley finished 261st and,at Roundshaw,Maureen Chitty placed 73rd(29.54).
4th - Woking YA Meet - Nine K&P YAs went to a wettish Sheerwater. Jody Edwards came up trumps with her second U13 Club Record of the year,adding just one centimetre to her Shot mark with 8.85. Also in that age group,Rhianna Reynolds set a PB in the Discus with 14.50. Other medal winners were U15 Saskia Fitzpatrick(HJ 3rd 1.40/LJ 2nd 4.85),U15 Nadia Allan(800 2nd 2.25.09) and Harry Reynolds who took the U13B 1500 gold in 5.02.49. Full results - TPOT.
7th - Battersea - M50 Jon Cook,father of Rachel & Laura, guested in the VAC 10,000m Track Champs,clocking a very healthy 39.07.3 in 8th place. Performance of the evening was by 84 year old multi-record holder,Steve Charlton,who posted an almost unbelievable 49.13.9 in Race 2,ahead of opponents up to 25 years younger - now that's a longevity/ability to challenge even Charlie Williams!
7th - Watford - U13s Harry and Rhianna Reynolds(SP 6.00) were in action again,with the former running 2.24.73 over 800,just outside his best. Natalie Sacre did 2.36.51 over the same distance,again just shy of her PB.
10th - parkruns - In Bushy,Philip Bearman Snr took 8th(18.21) and Avelline Deighton 352nd(25.42); and,on Wimbledon Common,Cashel Riordan placed 210th in 31.45.
11th - Reading - Open Meet - In search of some speed to go with his 3 recent club records at 800,1500 & 3000 and after some track sessions with Richard Holt's group,U15 Philip Bearman Jnr indeed found it at Palmer Park with a PB 57.9 clocking over 400.
13th - Lignano,ITA - European Masters Games - President Pat Logan easily swept to victory in the M50 100 Final with a decent 11.78.
17th - parkruns - In Bushy,Phil Snr 'won' the latest Bearman 'clash',heading Jnr by 2 places in 14th,17.57 to 18.03. Avelline Deighton ran 25.09 in 325th place. At the Kingston run,Harry Reynolds was 14th(21.19) and on Wimbledon Common Cashel Riordan took 186th in 29.05.
17th/18th - Erith - Kent Multis Champs - Bilen Ahmet collected a bronze in his County Decathlon Championship with 4569pts. Laura Darcey contested her 2nd Pentathlon in 8 days,as a Guest,improving her Surrey score by just over 100 pts to 1880,placing 4th overall. Full results on the Kent County website.
18th - Twickenham - SMR Open - Season's bests were the order of the day for most of the 6 K&P athletes - M45s Andy Robinson(57.1/2.07.8 'sprint double') and a returning from injury Rob Lowe(25.73/19.98 DT/HT) led the way. Both William Trimble(U20) 11.7 and Tariq Sheikh 12.3 posted 100 improvements,and Natalie Sacre won her 800 in 2.33.5. Full results - www.smrac.co.uk
21st - Watford - At the last Woodside Open on the summer,Rhianna Reynolds ran a SB 100(16.45);Harry Reynolds was short of his 1500 best with 5.02.00;and Natalie Sacre also was a few 10ths short of her SB with 2.34.01.
24th - Biggleswade - Natalie Ellis threw 24.08 for 2nd in the U20W Discus,just short of her 2011 best.
24th - parkruns - Usual suspects - Phil Bearman Snr(18.32) was 25th and Natalie Sacre(23.53) 241st in BP ; Maurenn Chitty placed 50th in Roundshaw - whilst on WC,Cashel Riordan(27.31) was 157th.
25th - Sutton Indoor Arena - Jim Day Memorial PV Extravaganza - Two of Maurice Joyce's charges took advantage,with U15 Caitlin Dimbleby setting a new indoor best at 2m43 and U17 Nicole Kendall just short of hers at 2m53.
25th - Kingston - Camilla's Open Disabled Track & Field Meet was well-supported,with K&P members Jack Binstead,Sheikh Muhidin and the inimitable David Weir in action. Full results on TPOT.
