Matt's Eye View from a sunny but chilly Reigate - full results at www.rpac.org.uk
Yesterday saw the third League match of the season at a bustling Priory Park in Reigate.
It was another good run for Harry Reynolds, who finished in second place in the Colts race and single handedly represents us at this age group. Well done Harry.
In the senior race, only ten of us ran, so each of us were scorers. First home for us across the five mile two lap course was James Robertson (17th);he managed to overtake Richard Mathie - our next finisher - (25th) - mid-way through.
Only two seconds separated myself (35th) and Andy Arbour (37th) who were next home, and immediately after Andy in 38th followed Jamie McCullagh. Jamie, like myself, at present, seems to be suffering from the ever-annoying hassle of achilles trouble!
Next up were Mike Maranzano and Michael Huntley (55th and 67th), and Ant Budarkiewicz (82nd), Bob McDonough (129th) and Geoff Reed (136th) completed the line up.
We finished 5th in the match, but remain 3rd overall in the League. It would be great in the final match to retain 3rd, and push closer to 2nd place- here's to it!
My thanks to everyone who ran, many of us were suffering with a bit of illness so I appreciate everyone who made it down to battle the Reigate hills. Thanks also to supporters David Barrington, Graham Huntley and our resident photographer, Cashel Riordan, plus the Reynolds and Maranzano Families.
