Some good racing on some really firm going.Plaudits to our redoubtable officials and marshals on another nippy day. We were indebted to a number of Mums for rousting out school teams, not least Julie Reynolds with Grey Court.

Kathryn Bartle won the K&P championship for the Peter Townsend Trophy, from Annabel Hobday and Eleanor McDonnell. (38 ran)
Under 11 Boys - Rokeby swept the team race(6pts) for the Frank Schubert Trophy and the individual medals, with Morrison Cleaver first across the line. The first 4 raced very competitively over the shortish course, and only 8 seconds separated 1st from 4th at the finish. Unicorn took the silvers and Hinchley Wood the bronzes. K&P's Steve Hall Trophy went to Gregor Hooke(2nd overall),with Sam Shaw(4th overall) taking the silver and Ben Paton the bronze.(22 ran)
Under 13 Girls - Surbiton High dominated the contest for the Stan Belton Trophy(12pts) from Holy Cross Secondary and Grey Court, with the individual winner,Zoe Cramp, coming from the latter. The two leading teams turned out plenty of runners. The winner of K&P's Stan Belton Trophy was Mollie O'Sullivan, ahead of Rebecca Keddie and Fehinti Ogungbesan.(29 ran)
Under 13 Boys - K&P's & Grey Court's Harry Reynolds was a comfortable winner of this race, ahead of Shaun McAllister(John Fisher) and Luke Hardcastle(also Grey Court). Under 15 Girls - For the 2nd year running, the field was disappointingly in single figures, but Surbiton High took full advantage to win the Stan Belton Trophy(7pts),and the winner of the similarly-named K&P Champs Trophy was Ella Shaw. Phoebe Law(Surbiton) was an elegant winner of the overall race.(4 ran).
Under 15 Boys - This race involves other K&P Club Champs and there was a mix amongst the 13 runners. Winning the K&P U15 Men Jimmy Wood Trophy,Philip Bearman made mincemeat of the fastest time on this course since Boys were introduced some 6 years ago, taking 1st with 12m18,exceeding that by Jonathan Darby, now graduated to the K&P BAL Mens Senior Track team. The improving Neil Wellard was 2nd overall, after a slight diversion(13.10) and Joe Garvey(John Fisher) was 3rd. Tiffin won the Team Race for the Bert Holland Trophy. Other K&P winners : Nikolaj Schubert(U17M Jimmy Wood Trophy); Layla and Mae Thompson, who successfully contrived to share the U17 Women's Cox Vase; The Doris Nice Trophy for Senior Women went, not inappropriately,to CC Secretary,Debbie Raymond;and Nicky Atkins took home the Parents Trophy for Veteran Women. The Doris Belton Trophy for Under 20 Women again went uncontested, sadly.
