Nothing like a good fast start to a season,and both our Men and Women were off to a flier in R1 on home turf,though the latter had to settle for a tie with the Stomponders.

U17 Alex Bartle topped the pile for Sasha Gordon's team,winning the Hammer in a new PB and U17 Club Record of 31.28. The opposition was thin overall with only 3 of the 6 team really contesting the match,but you can only beat 'them that's there'. Under 17s dominated the K&P team,with energetic performances all round;not least from Laura Cook,who improved her 400H time by 3secs to 71.4;from Nicole Kendall,out over 10m in the Triple;and from Lauren Edwards and Mae & Layla Thompson.

Humphrey Waddington's selections were mainly too strong,taking the match by 20 points from St Marys.There were wins for Richard Holt,Craig Price,Aidan Fahey,Chris Hall,Humphrey himself and the 4 x 200 squad,with the more significant winners perhaps being Gordon Pearce at 3000(8.46.8) and Gordon Lester at PV(4m).

Our Non Scorers contributed to the evening where there were promising early season marks from Odette McHenry,Victor Nwagbara,Loic Malroux,Jason-Louis Bernard and Tchengiz Siddiqi,amongst others.
