Donald William James Anthony was a significant player in the development of hammer in the UK during the 1950s;he represented Great Britain at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne,Australia, finishing 12th;he placed 5th in the 1958 Cardiff Empire(and Commonwealth) Games;he was twice silver medalist in the AAA Champs,in 1956 & 1957;and on six occasions he improved the English Native Hammer Record.
