Lily B League team overcame nearest rivals,Guildford & Godalming,to sweep to retention of their League title at Walton on Saturday. It was also a bumper day for Club records(3) with the Under 17 Women's 4 x 100 quartet clipping 1/10th off the 9 year old Club record(which included Dominique and Sasha!) with 51.1;Mae Thompson took 0.4 off Sarah Harris's Under 17 300Hurdles mark, clocking 46.0;and Jody Edwards claimed the Under 15 Hammer standard with a 26.06 heave. Other highlights - Very good to see the return to competition of Caitlin Dimbleby, and a very near miss by sister,Sophie,at her U13 Javelin Club record. Report from Mary in due course.

There remain a number of active members who are competing or have competed this summer in K&P colours who seem steadfastly incapable of paying their annual subscriptions. Most others have paid and are thus helping sustain all the club's activiities which any non-payers are enjoying, but to which they are not contributing. If this applies to you - and there have been reminders - please take steps to rectify this situation immediately. Any Club Officer will be pleased to accept and pass on your dues.  (Membership Team)

The BAL team travel to Derby on Friday for their 3rd round match the next day, hoping to show a marked improvement over their 7th places in R1 and R2 - and also hoping to avoid any skirmishes with any peletons in the Kingston area.

In winning the M40 High Jump at 1m60 at the Vets League match at Croydon on July 9th,Mark Roberts made this Vets Club Record his own,as well as the Pole Vault.

Well done to new Club U13 Record Holders Amy Richardson(LJ) & Sophie Dimbleby(JT),and also to the much-improved Rhianna Reynolds(DT) and Mollie O'Sullivan(800),who win their Surrey Vests at the Under 13 12-County Inter County Meet at Kingsmeadow on July 22nd. Results below.

Well done to Tucker Bryant who successfully negotiated his Senior Boys 200 heat in Gateshead, qualifying in 2nd with 22.13. In the Final,he ran a fine, marginally windy(+2.2), PB of 21.93 placing 7th.

George Corcoran was K&P's only competitor on Day One at Crystal Palace and he qualified comfortably for Sunday's 1500 Final in 4.12.54,in which he finished 8th in a tactical final in 4.15.90.

There was a another excellent Club record and PB from Pippa Wingate of 51.76 in taking bronze in the Womens Hammer, confirming regular training throws in excess of the 50m target,as well as relishing the big occasion. She also improves similarly her own Surrey County U20 record.

Three PBs(100-11.58,LJ-6.86w but also 6.79 legal,HJ-1.83) for Loic Malroux on Day One of his Decathlon in Serrahima, and a further one(110H 16.43) on Day Two,resulting in an overall PB of 6357pts. The weather's a bit more condusive than Grangemouth!

The weather is obviously condusive in Sydney, too, where Lana Whatley has walked down the aisle with Tom - they appropriately met at a Sydney parkrun. Wedding photos on Facebook.

The Lily B League team annihilated the opposition at Croydon, winning their Match 2 fixture by an enormous 240pt margin and lifting them to the top of the Regular Season Table with one match to go,thanks to Croydon heading Guildford in the other match. Even without an almost Full House score in the Under 17s group, the team would still have won their match.

Up in Scotland, the BAL team were unable to improve on their position, finishing 7th again in Grangemouth. Despite exemplary extensive travel arrangements by Andy Arbour via three airports - and with Maurice Joyce minibus-driving for both teams - three late A string wins still left the team out of contention, and they face some hard work in the final two matches in Derby and Bromley.
