Part One - Mini-Marathons
Excellent forward placings in the LONDON BOROUGHS section(full details on TPOT) by Neil Wellard(4th U15B),Phoebe Law(5th U17W),Aaron Bruce(10th U13B),Phillip Bearman(15th U17M) and Mollie O'Sullivan(25th U13G) were the K&P highlights on a relatively benign day weatherwise. According to the Virgin LM site, there were a further 8 K&P runners, though one or two notable absentees.
Further finishers included Jorge Beltrao(67th U13B),Rebecca Keddie(75th U13G),Kathryn Bartle(80th U13G),Marlie Carter-Edwards(85th U17W),Matthew Stevens(88th U17M),George King(101st U15B),George Chaplin(132nd U13B) and Ben Paton(161st U13B). Most of the K&P runners were representing RBK,with Neil Wellard in Merton colours and Aaron Bruce with Richmond. (E & O E).
Some doubts have been expressed about the times given on the VLM site, and also whether all Boroughs were selecting their teams using the same criteria.
Part Two - Marathon
There were indeed at least two K&P members - Robert Kennedy was 60th M50 and 1541st overall in 3h.02.6,after suffering injury at 15 miles ,and Ali Kennedy finished in 4h.25.0,on limited traning. Ali and Robert are the parents of our Under 13 twins Leonie and Sacha.
