ANOTHER CLUB RECORD  - AND ANOTHER(for which see Lily B League Report for June 29th)

Along with Alex Meaklim(U15B TJ),another recent new member, claimed a new Club Record - Arun Davis took 2/100ths off Neal Renfer's 10 year-old Under 13 Boys 200 mark with 27.4 in the YDL LAG match at Woking on 20th June. Well done, both, and welcome!

SOUTHERN CHAMPS PBs

Jordan Smith-Bent(100/200) and Mary Iheke(400) took advantage of some good,if gusty, conditions at Watford to set new personal marks, with Mary also snipping 2/100ths off her recent Club Record.

In the Mens 100,Jordan was 3 times under his previous best with 10.75 and 10.78 twice, and made the Final(8th),as well as joining Tom Butcher in the K&P AllTime Top 20. Andre Nembhard clocked his best of the summer(10.99 w+2.1). In the 200s,Jordan was again faster than ever, running 22.03 and 22.07;both Justin Green and Chris Hall ran 22.79 in their heats. M45 Andy Robinson joined a large field in the SM 5000,finishing a creditable 18th in 15.52.24.

In the Womens 400,Mary Iheke won her heat comfortably(56.52) and was a fine 2nd in the Final in exactly 55.00. Molly Renfer yet again ran within a couple of metres of her best(4th in Final 2.08.66),just 33/100ths short of her PB set at Twickenham two days before.

26th - Kingston - RBK Y7/8 Champs - Some 16 members competed for their schools - there were wins for Eleanor McDonnell(200),Mollie O'Sullivan(800 - by the length of the home straight!),Elisha Edman(SP),Sophie Dimbleby(JT) and Charlie Dugdale(JT). 29th - Cardiff - Welsh Champs - Chris Hall jumped his best of the summer at 6.67,with a series of 4 jumps over 6.50,and claimed a well-earned Bronze Medal on Day One of the Welsh. He later made the most of 110H opportunity, taking the Gold in 16.7.

29th - parkrun - Leading K&P youngsters,Phil Bearman(7th 16.49 at Bushy) and Harry Reynolds(4th 19.05 at Kingston) led the way. Parkrun seems not to have caught on Down Under yet.

29th - Hendon - LICC - Jason Bernard showed commendable form with a 23.50 legal win over 200,plus an 11.56windy 100. It was another opportunity for Bilen Ahmet to demonstrate his affinity to multi-eventing,contesting 10 events in the afternoon, his best, not surprisingly being a 3.62 win in the Vault. Otherwise it was only the Javelin which evaded him in the field, but he added 100/200/800 for good measure. Good build-up to the BAL a week ahead.

30th - Watford - BMC GP - Molly Renfer sought in vain for a time near to 2.06.0 for Euro U23 selection for Switzerand, just falling short, finishing 10th in her race in 2.10.66. HCA Luke Caldwell(DMV),already a GB U23 Selection over 5000 was happier, lowering his 1500 PB to a fine 3.42.14.
