On a pleasant evening at Ewell we had a another solid third place and are third overall after 3 matches. On the track we only had one winner, Andy Robinson in the m40 3,000m (this was after 3rd in the 800 and a non scoring 200, and he later went on to run the 2nd leg of our 4 x 400 relay with Draco Mkpa (1st leg) Steve Berkeley (3rd leg) and Mike May (4th leg) that finished third). In the field Steve Simmonds won both the m40 Hammer and m35 Shot. We had quite a few second places courtesy of Andrew Gordon (m40 200m), Jon Cook (m50 3000m) Robin Shaw (m50 Pole Vault), Maurice Joyce (m60 Pole Vault) Renzo Di Libero (m50 Shot) and Rupert Bole (m50 Triple Jump - also filled in at the m35 800m - about 4 age groups below his m55)
Also scoring were Cashel Riordan, David Bell, David Greenfield, Geoff Reed, David Barrington, and Rob Lowe. Many thanks to David Barrington who organised our officiating of two Hammer competitions and everyone who helped him
