id1689-'Mens Surrey League matches 1 & 2 (Richmond Park and Epsom Downs) : Kingston & Poly AC

On the 11th October K&P hosted the first Mens match of the Surrey League at Richmond Park. Following this, earlier this month the Mens team went to Epsom Downs for the second match. Both matches were notable for some high ranking individual performances- a returning George Corcoran finishing a brilliant first in both. Closely behind, James Robertson came 5th in the first fixture and then did even better coming 2nd in the next one. Alex Thomas also finished well up the field, not too far after James.

It has been great to see some new faces in the team too to complement our dedicated band of regular runners, Chris Gibbons and David Wilby joining us and both adding a further injection of strength into the team.

In both matches we finished 3rd place and are currently 3rd in the overall table with two matches to go. I am hopeful that in the next races we can push for second.

I would like to thank everyone in the team who has raced so far. In addition, I would like to thank everyone who has flagged, marshalled, officiated and supported us- we could not do this without your help.
