On a balmy summer evening, subject to any corrections to the results, we came third again. We had good results in the throws with Gareth Cook winning the m40 hammer and m35 shot and Renzo di Libero taking the m50 shot, while David Barrington managed to cover both m70 hammer and m60 shot at the same time as expertly leading our team of field judges in two hammer competitions. Thanks to everyone who helped him including Rupert Bole and Richard Weston.

We had good results in the sprints with wins for the 4 x 400 team ( Mark Roberts (also 2nd in Pole Vault), Ollie Oladele, Draco Mkpa and Adam Bellis), who set a new club masters record) and m70 Chuck Isetts in the 200m. Draco got a 2nd in the m35, and Mike May got a season's best coming 3rd in the m50, improving by 0.8s.

The meeting saw the return of Graham Huntley who did much to repair the gaping hole in our m60 ranks by doubling up over 800 and 3000m (where are the m40s from our 1990s team?). Matt Hyett made his masters debut in the m35 3000m and we also had support from Ed Paxton, Mike Edwards, David Greenfield, and not least Frank Schubert (2nd in m50 triple jump and also did hammer).
