A good turnout and lots of mucking in by all concerned ensured we covered all but one event and came a comfortable third in the match and secured third place in the division for the season.
We had only three scoring wins (Adam Bellis in the 100 and 400 - also did m35 Javelin and was in 4 x 100 relay - and Renzo di Libero in the m50 shot), but Matt Hyatt (who scored in the m35 2000m walk) front ran the non scoring 1500 and held on to win.
However we got a lot of 2nd places (Mike May m50 100m - also did 400m and Long Jump - Chuck Isetts m60 100 - Geoff Reed m70 1500m - and David Barrington m70 Long Jump and m60 High Jump). Other multi eventers were Ollie Oladele (400, High Jump and Relay), Frank Schubert (High Jump and Long Jump), Andy Arbour (1500 and Shot) and Ed Paxton (non scoring 100 and relay), while Cashel Riordan (2000m walk, returning from injury) , Graham Huntley (3rd in the m60 javelin) and David Greenfield (1500) rounded off the team.
Well done all
