On day 2, Mark Roberts came 5th out of over 50 starters in the m45 decathlon
picking up several season's bests in his international debut at the world masters athletics champs.
In the 100m on days 3 and 4
m50 Mike May got a season's best of 14.35 in the first round (best since 2011), but was never going to progress as there were 14 heats trying to find only 24 semi finalists
W60 Joan Trimble progressed from the first round to the semi final and then to the final before coming a magnificent 4th. Her best time of 14.78 came in the semi final.
Camilla Thrush is competing out here and did the weight throw at the stadium where Mark did his decathlon on day 1.
Chuck Isetts has travelled here but an injury to his knee three weeks ago had not cleared up enough for him to race in the individual events.
Joan and Mike go in the 200m on Sunday 9th and Mike will go in the Long Jump qualifying on Wednesday 12th.
