Kingston and Poly members at the Surrey and Sussex masters championships
Steve Simmonds in the field and Matt Atkins on the track got our best results overall. Steve an m45 won the weight, throwing 15.88 kg 10.59 metres and the hammer.
Matt, an m40, won the 5000m outright in 16:31.04.
Not counting sole competitors in their age group, our other Surrey champion was Nick Woodhead m55 who got a PB in the 200m of 28.66 (per Power of 10) chasing the Sussex champion and leaving yours truly in his wake (though I did get a season's best).
Renzo di Libero got 2nd in the m50 Shot and an SB in the Discus, while Rob Lowe multi tasked getting SBs in Discus and Javelin plus doing Shot and Long Jump. Andy Gordon m40 combined 2 silver medals in the 100m and 200m with an SB in the Javelin.
On the ladies side, Liz Richardson and Nicky Atkins both got SBs in the 5000m
