After coming in last place at our first match at Harrow, we were hoping to rally up a larger team this time around but unfortunately, we had only 28 K&P athletes, up 3 from Harrow. Again, we struggled to fill lots of the events, notably the longer distance runs and many of the U20M events. Notable events on the day were the AAA Grade 1 performances by William Hobson with another PB throwing the Shot 15.39m and Michael Anderson with a 6.41m long Jump. The U20W relay team who narrowly broke the club record again with a 52.40s (previous 52.60s U20W at Harrow). There were a few other PBs on the day, please look at the full results on the Power of 10 (link provided below). But it was not enough to compensate for the low turnout of athletes and we finished up 6th again. If everyone who is not already up to the maximum number of events would fill one more event and with more of our athletes joining in, we may still be able to get the points needed to avoid relegation. The next match is our home match at Kingsmeadow on 30th June. We need a big push to get everyone out, fill even more events in track and field, and go for a higher finish.
