We hope you are all safe and well and not too bored.
We assume some of you are super busy as key workers and others are still a little under-employed and wanting to get released back into the wild.
Clearly we all hope the pandemic and lockdown goes away soon.
Things won't feel normal until we have a track full of athletes enjoying their sport and that is likely to be a little while yet. Some group training has started up again in local parks etc, now that the government has allowed groups of up to 6 to meet. The first Momentum sessions were last week. We'd love to hear from groups outside Momentum too, to hear how you are getting on.
In the meantime, here's a video from lockdown that Kira and I (Richard H) did a little while back to show that you can always find ways to adapt your training a bit - in our case for hurdles.
We are one of the biggest and friendliest athletics clubs in London and compete across a huge array of leagues, events and championships and have athletes of literally all standards and ages and across all events.
Whether you are an 8 year old novice, a senior international or a “more mature” athlete looking to get back into the sport – we can help you achieve your goals.
We cater for runners, jumpers, throwers and multi-eventers on the track, in the field, on the roads or over the country and are based at Kingsmeadow in Kingston-upon-Thames (KT1 3PB). We'll be very happy to help you with your sport – so please just get in touch and we'll do all we can to assist.
