As defending champions,K&P were always going to be hard-pressed by newcomers and Div 2 winners last year, the prolific Herne Hill. And so it turned out with HHH coasting to victory in the Div 1 match.
With AFD absent, there were points going begging and the home club took their share, edging out Hercules Wimbledon at the finish, with Guildford & Croydon fighting to avoid the last place.
At Under 15 level, there were useful marks from the sprinters in particular, with Hasanka Fonseka(12.4/24.7/56.9),Edward Pilkington(12.8) & Neal Renfer(13.2/26.7) prominent and they joined with Stuart Vockins for a fine 4 x 200 victory.Aljosa Isakovic(400 63.6) & Edmund Croall(800 2.28.6) excelled and there were good marks from Patrick Tebble(1500 5.21.8) & Jan-Dominik Vogel(HJ 1.35) amongst others. At Under 13,Benn King stood out with 13.7/29.0 at 100/200 plus a win at HJ(1.30) and Lukas Vogel(20.13) & Martyn Aiessame(16.48) took almost max. points in the Javelin. It was good to have a number of Under 11s in action and Michael Christov caught the eye in particular.
