id268-Rosenheim League Western Division M6 Roehampton July 27th 2005 Report

Written by DB

Another fine response for this last regular season match in the league saw K&P almost whitewash the opposition, though one would guess that the 'foregone conclusion' factor, the dismal weather and the mostly grass facilities did not encourage several of the other teams - though why the social element did not,one is not too sure. Match scores - Men:K&P 59/BA 52/BoE 31/R&T 25 - Women:K&P 54/BA 20 - and overall - Men:K&P 33.5/BA 24/R&T 23/BoE 21.5/E&E 13/Wal 8 - Women:K&P 30/E&E 21/BA 14/Wal 11.5/R&T 4.5.

As virtually everyone was a winner, there is little to say, except many thanks to all involved - it was a well-supported summer with much enjoyment. We won both divisional trophies ; it was good to see 10,indeed almost all, of our competing Under 20 athletes in action ; top scorer in the womens was Camilla who won all 11 individual events she contested over the summer with the 'Sisters' close behind ; Humphrey Waddington carried the mens team covering 30 events over the 6 fixtures ; and, finally, the Final is at Kingsmeadow this year on Wednesday,August 17th - it is a mens final only BUT non-scorers,both male and female, are welcome(small fee) ON THE TRACK;there are NO non-scorers at all in the 4 field events which are PV/LJ/HT/DT.

Finalists are - West : R&T/BA/BoE/K&P and East : Croydon/Hercules Wim/Serpentine/HHH
