The vast amount of preparation put in by Match Organiser,Brenda Ford, aided by her team of experts on the day was well rewarded by the weather and the response from almost 40 competitors.Additional encouragement from the weekday coaching team was also evident. In turn, many were rewarded with Club Championship medals for their summer activities and most enjoyed the pizzas, courtesy of the Ladies Catering Consortium.

On the field of conflict,Daria Holden was a clear winner of the Under 13 Girls title with 203pts,ahead of debutante Ilana Marismari & Felicity Miller. The Boys Under 11 attracted 5,the winner being Jobie Burke(258) narrowly from Michael Christov(253),ahead of Thomas Kneebone in 3rd. At Under 13 level,Molly Renfer took the top Girls award with 252pts from Soracha Healy(247) & Jenny Steinitz(237) whilst a smaller Boys turnout saw Edward Perry head George Vine 279 to 232. There was a bumper turnout from our Under 15s with 18 in all in action - the 10 Girls were led in by Roseanne Mackay(283) from Stephanie Pearce(274) & Clarissa Brierley(263) and it was Alain Ashford who clearly took the Boys title with 354pts ahead of Aljosa Isakovic)328) & William Trimble(316).The Men's Under 17 went to Prathamesh Kaneri(369) with Josh Diffley a trifle slow off the mark, whilst Humphrey Waddington, prior to his departure to higher things, claimed the Open Men's with 406 ahead of Graham Huntley,Fario Marismari & Mike May.The latter 6 men were the sum total of the 'elderly' - no-one else deigned to appear.
