There was a reasonable turnout for the first match of the 2006 league season, though some teams found the date difficult. Div One scores - HHH 184/K&P 138/Walton & HercWimb 97/Croydon 11/E&E DNS.
Richard Smeaton's U15 400 win at 56.7 was clearly the most significant K&P mark on an early season day of mainly ordinary performances from all teams. K&P boasted 16 athletes, more than all but clear winners, home club Herne Hill. Other worthy performers included the Burke brothers - U15 Callum winning the Y1 JT(32.14) & 100(12.9) and U13 Jobie taking 2nd in the LJ(4.24). George Wilkins(U13) looked the part in his group, heading the 80mH(15.0) & HJ(1.35).Edmund Croall's 2A in the U15 1500(4.58.6) also stood out. Otherwise, all, including the returning footballers, contributed to our clear 2nd place with 138 points.
