With a number of BAL-bound members tuning up for May 6th at Rugby - or finding out what is not ticking! - there was a robust turnout for this early SML match.
Our Under 20s,however,shone - and this is what this competition is about for K&P currently. Rob Smith was first up with a 10.27 SP but, more significantly,a little later with a first throw over 40m with the 7.26k HT(40.90). Ron Taylor ran a gutsy 17.22.5 5000 which is a club U20 record whilst Chris Hall leapt out to a PB 6m.18 to win the Long Jump. Alex Thomas and Alex Hatherley also continued to show promise, the former in advance of an imminent BAL debut.
There were also good-looking wins for Adam Bellis(400 51.0),Andre Nembhard,Andy Arbour(3kST 10.18.3),Mark Roberts,Chris Dack,Jonathan Middleditch,M65 Roger Bartlett and the 4 x 100 Relay squad(45.4 - Messrs Hatherley,Mkpa,Nembhard & Bankole).
The final scores, however, show that we were still bereft in many events - Herne Hill 142,Crawley 105,K&P 82 & Fleet & Crookham 46.
