The opening fixture attracted barely 20 members - and only 3 in the U13 - but,Bracknell apart, the other teams were in the same boat. Scores - Bracknell 374/K&P 263/S&D 251/E&E 224/F&C 78. Details which follow courtesy of TM John Simmons. Full results are on the NB at Kingsmeadow.
Though the U13s were completely swamped by Bracknell - the best performance probably Victoria Douglas' 4m19 LJ - the U15s just about held their own;Lucy Jones(75H 12.2),Phoebe Haynes(HJ 1.40 & 75H 13.3) & Maddie Garner(HJ 1.30) all scored maximums and were well supported by Stephanie Espinosa & Georgina Harris. It was,however,the U17s who saved the day,so to speak,by accumulating substantial points,not least in the Hammer(Clarissa Brierley 17.33 & Amy Simmons 17.20) following some last minute expert advice from Maurice Joyce! Harriet Lester(80HA 12.5/LJA 4.79),Roseanne Mackay(80HB 14.2/300B 44.4),Clarissa Brierley (SPB),Emily Kneebone(LJB 4.33),Linda Randall(1500B),Mary Iheke(300A 42.0) and the 4 x 1 team(52.4) all scored maximum 8-pointers.
