At another foul meeting weatherwise,a dozen or so K&P braved the evening. Matches - M:BA 55/SMR 49/K&P 45/TVH 44/Walton 35/E&E 14 and,after 2 of 6 fixtures,it's BA 13/K&P 12/SMR 10/TVH 7/E&E 7/Walton 5/Bank 1
W:K&P 60/E&E 39/Walton 14/TVH 12/SMR 6 and overall it's K&P 12/E&E 10/TVH 7/Walton 7/SMR 1.
In the Women's match half-a-dozen of the regulars easily trounced the other teams, mirroring their 60 pts from the first fixture and leading comfortably in pursuit of another 'pot'. Whilst there was only a smattering of opposition,it was a good workout for all in conditions which will be met in bigger meetings anyway - most pleased was Rachel Burbridge who went under 5mins(4.56.3) & 11mins(10.58.8) over 1500/3000 and there were doubles for Camilla Thrush & Dominique Blaize.
Under 20s Ron Taylor(who else) & Chris Hall kept the men in the hunt and Pat Logan continued to warn our sprinters that hard work pays dividends. We were 3rd and are 2nd overall with 4 to go in defence of our 2 2005 trophies.
