After a slow start,Michele Wicks' team pulled clear to emulate last year's opening success in the first of this summer's SWL matches. Dominique Blaize with 3 A string wins,aided by similar successes for Rachel Burbridge,Sasha Gordon & the sprint relay team(Club Record at 50.3) piled up the points in the senior events whilst Harriet Lester & Lucy Jones(still U13) and their 4 x 100 colleagues kept the ball rolling in the U15 section. Camilla Thrush celebrated veteranhood with a complete set of W35 Club records in the 4 throws. Res:K&P 194,Colchester 173.5,Thurrock 172,Bournemouth 156.5,Southampton 91. Most abiding memory was a fine solo 800 by international Charlotte Moore(2.03.7).
