Our Under 13 & Under 15 Boys(not forgetting the Under 11s) emulated their BAL Seniors of the day before with a lively performance on the Sunday in the third and final match in the 2006 series. Team managers Brenda Ford & Pat Logan mustered well and there were definite indications in the U15s that the U17 team will benefit next year, with evidence of ability and good coaching over both groups.
The match result was : Herne Hill 176/K&P 140.5/Croydon 129/HercWimb 118,E&E 113.5/Walton 54 and the overall final table showed Herne Hill(the holders) retaining their poll position with 17/569 from ourselves as runners-up 14/467.5 with Croydon 12/349 & HercWimb 9.5/357 in 3rd & 4th,leaving Epsom & Ewell & Walton to contest Div Two in 2007. AFD & G&G will be promoted to our division.

In the U13 events,a double win from George Wilkins & David Fitzpatrick in the 80 Hdls was heartening;Ollie Garner & Nikolay Schubert ran well up to form in the searing heat;Jobie Burke ran a PB 29.9 over 200;whilst our 3 Under 11s showed promising form, not least Wiliam van Klaveren's 15.0 100 & Mathew Broderick's 3.01.1 800.
Several of the U15s are beginning to look the part - club 400 record-holder,Richard Smeaton, easily took his current speciality and added a 25.2 200;Ryan Clancy & Adam Wicks both dipped under 13.0 for the first time over 80Hdls;Joe Johnson threw consistently again(9.38) but met up with the giant County record-holder,Michael Wheeler(18.43!);Jake Budd looked good in lowering his 200 PB to 24.6 and with Callum Burke,Ryan Clancy & Richard Smeaton trounced Herne Hill in the 4.x 200 Relay, which does not often happen. Luke Newman,Matt Clements,Ciaran Costello,Patrick Tebble & Jonny Garner also continued to show they can contribute significantly in the future.
