id443-Rosenheim League M5 St Marys,Twickenham July 12th 2006 Report

Written by DB

St Marys Richmond AC's inaugural promotion at Twickenham, together with a warm evening, ensured a most pleasant meeting. The match was again an ideal vehicle for those not quite in the front line of selection, particularly for the men,and all duly obliged. The men were a clear 2nd,though swamped by a 'euphoric' home club, but Sasha's women returned the compliment!

Humphrey Waddington's return to Rosenheim multi-eventing mode(albeit not yet running) signalled points in the field; U17s Josh Diffley(TJ 12.00) & Oore Sokoya(100/200 11.8/24/1),and Jason-Louis Bernard(200 24.3), showed latent promise;whilst Peter Wilkins gallantly coped with both 1500/3000. Match scores(adjusted) - SMR 75/K&P 59/BA 48/TVH 28/E&E 25/Walton 20 and overall,with 1 match to go,K&P 28/257-- BA 28/253--SMR 27/269--TVH 21/182--E&E 20/171--Walton 11/88--Bank 1/5. BA,K&P & SMR will go to the FInal with either TVH or E&E.

In the womens match, there was strictly no contest again - Dominique Blaize warmed up for Berne with a 14.6 100H,your W55 President ably deputised for Camilla Thrush with an excellent 4k HT(21.53) & Emily Kneebone found she really can triple jump(9.50 at the first time of asking) and a PB at 200(27.8). Scores(adjusted) - K&P 59/BA 20/SMR 18/E&E 12/Walton 10 and overall it is K&P 30/301--E&E 22/147--Walton 16/63--BA 10/52--TVH 10/42 & SMR 7/30. K&P will retain their divisional trophy.

Results on the Board at Kingsmeadow. Final Regular Season match at the Bank of England's Roehampton Sports Ground on July 26th. Main Final - for Men only plus non-scoring TRACK events for both men and women - at Tooting on Wednesday August 16th.
