Following exploits in The Gatliff & The Marathon Des Sables - not to mention Andy Arbour's excursions in the Three Peaks Yacht Race - K&P ultras Geoff Reed and Catherine S-R were pitting themselves again, this time in the Marathon of Britain from Great Malvern to Nottingham.
This event is a 6-day 175 mile challenge,with attendant back-packing(running),orienteering-style map reading,overnight bivouacs & cold water showers(not always running,apparently).
Geoff, sadly, ran out of steam after some 75miles but Catherine continued,as ever, and eventually completed in 32nd of the 36 who got to Nottingham Castle undaunted,as ever;her total time was 56h.43.0. Bravo!
The race is extensively covered as it happens on the MOB website - www.marathonofbritain.com - where there are commentaries, multitudinous photos(inc. of G & C) and audio-interviews with Geoff & Dr Mark!
