The Women's dominance continued at Walton, with a 2nd win but, with the middle distance personnel in absentia en bloc, even a mass of sprinters and some worthy U17s could not prevent St Mary's Richmond winning the men's match - K&P were 4th.
Sasha Gordon set a captain's example, leading a 5-strong women's team to a narrow win over Walton;she took 2 wins and a 2nd,with Roseanne Mackay, newcomer Clare McLeish,Barbara Mueller & Emily Kneebone in support. In fact, the women emulated the men with not one MD runner!
The men struggled without no-one at 800/1500/3000/2000ST but useful sprint performances from newcomer Luke McMaster,Matt Field(11.4) & Jason Bernard(23.4pb) and with U17s Adam Wicks,Matt Clements & Jake Budd enjoying a relaxed Walton summer Rosenheim evening for the first time(of many,we hope),we kept in touch in the table.
Full results can be found on Walton's site - www.waltonac.co.uk,together with the latest team positions.
