The SWL continued their perigrinations around the South with a trip to Bromley;and came away with a very creditable performance,considering the lure of Jamaica.

Scores - Blackheath&Bromley 130/Harrow 98/K&P 97.5/Nene Valley 94.5 and we are currently 18th in the table(of 24) with 2 matches to go,plus some adjustments. There is no relegation or promotion this year in this new Seniors Only Division.

There were definite hints that,with some returnees,we could make a good shot at this league.Light on hurdles and middle distance,things otherwise looked decidedly brighter at Norman Park.

Mary Iheke,warming up for the ESAA Champs,was in good form with a 12.8 and a 25.6 win over Amy Godsell;Roseanne Mackay took the B 200(26.8) & TJ(10.27);Anna Schlerf,markedly improving,was down to 13.7/66.2;new mum Liz Richardson is getting seriously back to the fray;new pole vaulter Harriet Lester,also off to the Brum ESAA,won the A LJ(4.87) with Emily Kneebone taking the B;Liz Davidson upped her 2007 best,wtaking the A TJ(11.53);Camilla Thrush put her recent injury to one side with a very useful 10.77 SP success,plus 2nds at DT/HT; the Hon Pres accompanied CT in 3 throws busily;and the TMs did allsorts inc a 4 x400!
