Strong performances in sprints, hurdles & jumps kept our bonny little team ticking over and, though we ended up 4th with 92pts,we climbed slightly in the divisional table after the penultimate match to 14th.
Four wins for Dominique Blaize highlighted the K&P day, though 8 weeks out of action understandably showed;there were double firsts at 200(Blaize & Mary Iheke 25.6/26.0),100Hdls(Blaize & Debbie Raymond 16.0/19.7) & Triple Jump(Liz Davidson & Roseanne Mackay 11.59/10.61);there were 2x2nds at LJ(Sasha Gordon & Lucy Jones);whilst Lucy ran a solo U17W 80H in 12.7 and looks the part for her 2nd U17 year in 2008.
We missed Camilla Thrush(BMAF Champs) in the throws, with Mary Waddington willingly deputising; and Debbie Raymond & Liz Richardson struggled "manfully" to cover some of the indigenous gaps we have from 400 to 3000. TM Clare Nelson & Mary Iheke remain the only ever-presents.
Full results on NB at Kingsmeadow shortly.
