The annual assault on the Club records continues apace with some 30 already set since March,a figure well en route to matching the 80plus registered in 2003. The Womens Veterans marks were always going to be a prime target with Camilla Thrush turning 35 and she has obliterated all the throws several times(currently 35.77 HT/32.53 DT/10.10 SP/24.69 JT).
Not to be outdone, both relays in the category have gone(to 60.1 & 5.00.7) with contributions from Joan Trimble,Dina Francis,Nicki Murphy,Nicki Atkins,Jane Searle AND the said Camilla & Gunhild Vogel & Rachel Disley have taken the vets Vault&3000 to 1m90 & 10.34.6.Elsewhere,Dominique Blaize stretched the U17W LJ to a very respectable 6.01(with Olympian Maureen Chitty's 6m.37 a target);Matthew Field(U17M 100H 14.4 & Stuart Price(U15B 80H 11.46) continue to lower sprint hurdles marks whilst Sarah Harris(U17W 300 40.71) and the Open Womens 4 x 100 quartet of Harris,Blaize,Claire Stonestreet & Sasha Gordon slipped their 50.3 clocking into that record category.(as at 12 June)
