A happy band of just 5 went to Ashford for a BAL recce - and an SML match! Happy, that is,apart from the broken down car.
Results on NB at K.
Rob Lowe(2A JT 28.55/3A HT 20.36/3A DT 21.70/5A SP 6.84) served the club well again and was as busy as ever in his quest for qualifying marks for the approaching World Deaf Games;Jason-Louis Bernard had 2 smooth victories(100/200 11.9/23.4) into a breeze as usual at the Julie Rose;Mike May ran a gutsy treble 13.9/28.1/65.6 into the same wind;and Graham Poskitt(2A 400 58.7) & some TM(SP) garnered the 45 points we achieved, which keeps us 4th from bottom in the lower reaches of the SML! Oh,and we spent the day officiating for all and sundry, too.
Interesting dilemma for Maris Kuklis coming up(though we hope not!).He is an HCA for K&P this year, having gone back to First Claim club,Bournemouth, whilst completing his degree. They won the concurrent Div One match at Ashford and will be candidates for the new 2009 BAL National Division Four.He cannot run for both clubs in the BAL!
