During the Grand Prix Bernie Ecclestone was approached by a snail who asked if he could have a go in one of the cars.
Bernie said yes but on one condition. The condition was that the car the snail would use would have the letter "S" painted on it.
The snail agreed, got into the car, quickly mastered the controls and went out onto the circuit.
Within a very short period of time the snail was passing all the regular teams - Braun, Ferrari, Red Bull, Arrows.
The crowd acknowledged the snail and shouted "Watch that S car go!"
