STOP PRESS - Both teams in Finals at Copthall on Aug 8th - Men in Cup and Women in Plate.

Isabelle Hatton's 2 PBs(73.5 400H/4m87 LJ) were the highlights from a K&P Womens team fielding just 5 athletes;Camilla Thrush topped her previous best 2009 SP with 10.60;Maddy Hardwick again looked the part over 1500;and Nicky Atkins(as ever) and Emily McIlwain completed the 'high five'.

The Men were fully represented, and sneaked into 2nd place behnd clear winners,Channel Isles,at the death where a fine final 400 leg from Adam Bellis gave K&P their third victory of the 11 events on the programme.

Justin Green(100 11.1) & Kyle Stevens(14.96 SP) claimed the other top placings;Humphrey Waddington came through his first major competition since mid-May safely;but the best performance was arguably that of U20 Richard Smeaton, who was sort of press-ganged into his first BAL race…at 800…. and produced a promising 2.03.8. It will be noted!!!

Elsewhere,Chris Hall ran a handy 200(22.4) in adverse sprinting weather;and Adam Bellis,Tom Beedell,Tom Parry,Matt Field & Andy Wheble ensured we have an outside chance of a 'wild card' for the Final on August 8th at Copthall.
