Reports

(26th Sep - Bushy Park TT - There was a family double with Molly Renfer posting the fastest women's time of 18.50;brother Sean took the overall event in 16.26.)

(27th Sep - Croydon Switchbacks 5 - Ron Taylor ran in 3rd in 31.02.)

3rd - Bushy Park TT - There were a substantial 900+ runners at the 5th Anniversary race, with the provisional results showing just Natalie Sacre from K&P,in 673rd. Pity more of those turning out cannot boost the local clubs' memberships a tad more, but then we should, perhaps, be thankful for small mercies in that voracious England Athletics have had their "greedy political fingers" offers to the Parkrun Organisation stamped on.

10th - TTs - At the Banstead Woods event, there was a rare K&P TT success, with 400/800 specialist,James Moroney, taking poll position in 18m.24. Over at Roundshaw Woods,Maureen Chitty was 42nd in 31.27 and at the Bushy Park race,Natalie Sacre continued her improvement with 27.21 in 335th.

17th - TTs - U17 George Corcoran 24th in 18.40 in Bushy Park;U15 Minty Allen 78th with 25.03 on Wimbledon Common;and W60 Maureen Chitty 48th at 32.10 on Roundshaw Downs.

18th - David Greenfield(M55) was our sole flagbearer in the Cabbage Patch 10 around Twickenham/Richmond - he took 729th/1509 in 1h.19.48.

24th - Bushy Park TT - Natalie Sacre was 329th in 27.24.

25th - Surrey Classic 10K,Oxshott - Matt Hyett was out again after the Bank CC match,taking 27th in 40.47,with Liz Richardson 94th in 49.07 - 178 finished.

24th - Snowdonia Marathon,Llanberis - Peter Wilkins ran a splendid PB on a highly scenic, but very tough course around the roads of the National Park - 315th/1325 in 3h.52.21.

News from Tom Beedell & HCA Julian Hough - Running for his home club,Chiltern,Tom was a fine 4th in the first Chiltern League race recently, followed next day by 2nd in a 15M CC race, whilst Julian(Stroud) was also in form, taking 6th/1721 in his club's Half-Marathon in 72.48.

Also in good form is James Robertson, who led his recently-promoted Warwick University squad home in probably the strongest League in the country,Birmingham & District League,Division One. James was 74th/244 in the Div One race which was run concurrently with the other 2 divisions AND the Birmingham Cross Challenge in Sennelleys Park. James,Tom & Julian will hopefully grace our Surrey League team at least a couple of times this winter.

18th - Cambridge - The irrepressible Bilen Ahmet was back again at his Alma Mater to contest the University Cuppers as a Honoured Guest - this time a mere 7 events, but with season's bests over 100(12.3),110H(18.6),200H(29.1) & TJ(11.79),not to mention a 64.5 400,a 1.70 HJ & an almost PB-equalling 3.60 Vault.
