The Lily B League yesterday was full of excitement!

After several great performances from the athletes unfortunately the meeting was stopped at about 2.15pm due to lightning and a massive thunderstorm. After some deliberation unfortunately the meet was then cancelled due to further lightning and the weather forecast for the rest of the afternoon. The team did very well to finish 3rd overall which was a good result considering some of our strongest events did not take place.

Before the weather stopped things short there were some excellent performances with wins from Tia (U15 300m), Carmen (U17 HJ), Iris (U13 Discus), Katie (U15 100m), Freya (U15 Hammer) and Natasha (U17 TJ).

There were also lots of second places and PBs - too many to mention - but some notable PBs being U11s Sophia and Poppy with 11.5 & 13.1 in the 75m and 3.46m & 2.58m in the LJ respectively. Polly with 14.8s in the U13 70m Hurdles, Iris and Emma with 18.32m and 11m respectively in the U13 discus and Grace with 3.69m in the U13 LJ.

A big well done to everyone who competed and we hope to see them all competing again at the Lily B Final on the 26th in (fingers crossed) better weather!
