There was more success for the club at the weekend.

Saturday saw a very strong YDL (lower age group) come 2nd in the latest round of matches to sit in a very strong position to push for promotion. As normal, there were numerous excellent performances across the board in the match and all the athletes should be very proud of how they got on.

Caitlyn Harvey picked up a well deserved bronze medal in the 400m and Elliot Ferguson came 4th in the 110m hurdles. Both in the U20 age group.

It was the first round of the NAL this weekend and also the County Schools Championships.
As seems to be the case at the moment, there were masses of PBs and SBs, mixed in with some slightly slower times caused by tactical races where our athletes ran with great skill.
We have to remember that athletics is not just about getting fast times, but also placing well in races.

This weekend saw the England U20/U23 Champs and the Lily B and SAL teams in action.

At a newly laid Chelmsford, Tom White and Marius Ball drew the same heat in the 100m for U23s. Both ran really well and just missed out on the semi final. Sunday June 11th saw a large Kingston squad descend on the Down Grange Sports Complex.
