The provisional dates of the Downs Cross Country League have been announced for the 23/24 season. They are:

Match 1 - 8th October - Host Epsom & Ewell
Match 2 - 26th November - Host Kingston & Poly
Match 3 - 18th February - Host Herne Hill
Match 4 - 17th March - Host SLH

Boys & Girls run together and Race times will be :

U11 - 10:45 - athletes aged 8 to school year 6
U13 -11:05 - school years 7-8

We are gaining momentum in the number of qualified officials the club now has.(All we need now are a couple of timekepers)!

It was another exciting day of competition on Saturday at the Lily B League final where lightning did indeed strike twice as the meet was delayed again by over 40 minutes due to torrential downpours, thunder and lighting!

Luckily this time the meet was not cancelled and events continued, however the delay was difficult for the athletes with the events not going off at their rescheduled times meaning some athletes had no time to warm u …
